It has been said that behind every great man is a strong woman. Native North Americans are well aware of the strength, perseverance, courage and encouragement women are in our culture.
These five stories weave together the journeys of five courageous women–Helen Francis, Mavis Etienne, Bessie McPeek, Lizzie Eppo-York and Venus Cote. These women are all examples of the power of change in a person’s life when they allow God to move.
